Sneyd Academy PE Policy

At Sneyd all children take part in indoor and outdoor P.E lessons.

We offer a wide range of sporting extra curricular activities.

Children get the opportunity to represent our school at sporting competitions and events.

As a result of the Sport Premium funding our staff have benefited from Professional Development which has included attending courses on specialist aspects of sport (e.g rowing), receiving specialist coaching through our provider (Premier Sports) and being able to network with staff at sporting events. Our pupils have the opportunity to be trained as Sports Leaders and there is the facility now of established sports leaders training new leaders for the following academic year. We also have a sports committee in which the children have input into how sport and PE will be further developed in the school. This therefore ensures that the Sport Funding not only benefits pupils in our school currently, but guarantees that it will impact on pupils in the future also.
