If you, or someone in your household or support bubble experiences symptoms, DO NOT ATTEND the Academy. The main symptoms include a fever, a new and continuous cough, or a loss of taste and smell.
If you develop symptoms
If you develop one or more of the main symptoms of Covid-19 you should get a PCR test. If you have symptoms you should isolate for 10 days from when they started. If you have not had symptoms, the 10 days starts from when you had the test. You should not return until you receive a negative test result or your isolation period has finished.
If you are already at the Academy when you develop symptoms, you will be asked to go to an isolation room before going home to isolate and book a test.
You should inform the Academy of your test results as soon as you receive them.
If someone in your household develops symptoms
If someone within your household develops symptoms, and you are identified as a close contact you should take a PCR test.
Individuals are not required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and any of the following apply:
- they are fully vaccinated
- they are below the age of 18 years and 6 months
- they have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
- they are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons
Please stay at home for the time recommended by the NHS and book a test here.
